  • Do you fund first-year students?

    Our primary focus is on second-year and above to ensure academic track record, though exceptions may be considered under exceptional circumstances.

  • Do I lose my funding if I fail?

    This fund was set up to assist students in succeeding academically by providing housing opportunities. Unfortunately, if you do not work to keep up your marks, the funding will be withdrawn. You will be liable to payback all funding received to-date.

  • How long does it take to process my application?

    Application timelines are as follows:

    1 July Applications open 1 July
    31 August Applications close 31 July
    September Shortlisted candidates may be contacted for interviews
    November Communication sent to successful applicants who have been selected for funding

    Note, for NSFAS students this is subject to NSFAS funding approval

  • How will I be notified if my application is successful?

    We will contact you via email if your application is successful and you have been selected for funding. If you do not receive any communication from us, your application has not been successful.

  • Is my information safe?

    We have strict data security policies and procedures and ensure adherence to POPIA at all times.

  • Who do I contact for more information?

    +

  • Where do I get the required academic transcript, enrolment letter, application submission letter and account statement from?

    The university/college needs to provide you with this. You may have received an email from them, the documents might be on your student portal, or you may need to contact the administration department at the university/college.

  • What supporting documents do I need to apply?

    • ID or passport copy
    • Proof of NSFAS funding if you are currently funded by NSFAS
    • University enrolment letter & statement of account for tuition
    • Latest academic transcript with full history
    • If applying for a post graduate next year, provide support of post graduate application submission/ acceptance letter or supporting university correspondence
      Proof of address not older than 3 months
    • Matric certificate
    • Optional: motivation letter from lecturer/academic staff member
    • Optional: personal motivation letter
